This role requires a combination of strong technical and communication skills to design, implement, and support complex network solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Author architecture artefacts including ROM (Rough order of Magnitude), HLD (High Level Design) & BRD (Business Requirement Document) for programs, projects and initiatives.
  2. Own the solution end to end, incorporating input from Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, business partners, SMEs and vendors.
  3. Highlight areas of solution risk and dependency, with associated mitigation proposals.
  4. Oversee all technical aspects of implementations for end-to-end integrated systems.
  5. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's technologies and architectures.
  6. Develop logical, conceptual and physical architectural models.
  7. Communicate solutions, architectural decisions, plans, and goals to project teams.
  8. Support business and IT strategic planning.
  9. Support Enterprise Architecture Governance processes.
  10. Review new and existing program/project architecture for compliance with IT standards, policies and architectural plans.
  11. Develop and implement physical data center, office and manufacturing network designs, with a focus on redundancy, high availability, and fault tolerance.
  12. Architect and design network solutions for cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
  13. Provide support, including technical consultations, solution recommendations, and network assessments.
  14. Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, implementation plans, and best practices.
  15. Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge and competitive.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 8 years of experience in network design, implementation, and support.
  3. Expertise in cloud networking for AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  4. Deep knowledge of physical data centre networks and best practices.
  5. Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and VMware Velo Cloud solutions.
  6. Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) and Cisco ISE.
  7. Strong understanding of network protocols; routing, switching and wireless.
  8. Strong understanding of Zero Trust and SASE frameworks.
  9. Familiarity with network security principles, tools, and best practices.
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  11. Industry certifications such as CCIE, VCDX-NV, or equivalent are preferred.
