We are excited to be partnering with a large reinsurance company currently hiring for a Risk and Capital Management Actuary. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Actuary, ideally with experience in capital or risk management, though nearly qualified actuaries with relevant experience will also be considered. This role is based in Dublin, and the company offers a flexible working model. The successful candidate will join the Risk Function, gaining exposure across internal model governance, capital planning, and enterprise risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the review, validation, and documentation of the internal economic capital model
  • Contribute to capital management activities including ORSA, stress testing, and Standard Formula calculations
  • Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to ensure proper treaty modelling in capital assessments
  • Assist with regulatory applications and reporting, including Ancillary Own Funds and the SFCR
  • Participate in the assessment and monitoring of risk exposures, including ALM, liquidity, and new business reviews

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified actuary, or nearly qualified with strong relevant experience
  • Background in capital management, risk management, or actuarial modelling
  • Strong technical skills, especially in Excel and other Microsoft tools
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly
  • Analytical, organised, and confident in challenging assumptions and influencing decision-making
