Entry level Injection Moulding Technician

Join Johnson Controls as an Entry level Injection Moulding Technician.

This is a 6-month contract position based in Cork, Ireland, ideal for motivated individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing and tooling.

About the Role

Support the management of manufacturing plastic injection moulding tools and processes remotely as part of our Global Tooling Team. Develop technical and project management skills in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with engineering simulations, analysis, and design for manufacturing reports; Moldflow experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Use CAD software (preferably Creo) for designing and evaluating tooling components.
  • Participate in projects to improve tooling and process efficiency, applying manufacturing principles.
  • Work independently and with global teams, ensuring effective communication.
  • Support tooling initiatives with problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Understand the design, construction, and operation of manufacturing tools and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic manufacturing process knowledge; injection moulding experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and CAD programs (preferably Creo).
  • Exposure to engineering simulation software like Moldflow is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and project management abilities.
  • Creative, inquisitive, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, global environment.
