About Your New Job

As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for the accurate setting out of works on-site for a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your role will be critical in ensuring that all works are executed according to design specifications and industry standards. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Setting out of construction works in accordance with drawings and specifications for both commercial and residential projects.
  2. Coordinating and liaising with site teams, architects, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
  3. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
  4. Monitoring quality control and ensuring the highest standards of construction.
  5. Assisting with the preparation of as-built drawings and site reports.
  6. Using survey instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS) for precise setting out and measurements.

What Skills You Need For This Job

  1. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  2. 3 to 5 years experience in a setting out role within Ireland, with experience in either commercial or residential projects.
  3. Proficiency in using survey equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS).
  4. Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and site operations.
  5. Good knowledge of health and safety legislation.
