Credit Underwriter

We are presently recruiting for a Credit Underwriter for our clients in Killarney, County Kerry. Working as part of a wider team, you will evaluate and analyze credit applications to determine a borrower's creditworthiness. You will have strong IT skills and will be the first point of contact for all client inquiries and loan applications. This is a full-time position, based in the office in Killarney, County Kerry.

Responsibilities:

• Assess loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to determine borrower risk.
• Analyze income, debt, and financial data to evaluate creditworthiness.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify potential risks associated with lending to an individual or business.
• Collaborate with loan officers and clients to verify financial information.
• Recommend loan approvals, modifications, or rejections based on risk assessment.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare credit reports for decision-making.

Qualifications and Experiences:

• 2+ years' experience in a similar position (either administration, accounts, banking)
• Qualification in either Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Proficiency in Excel and other software

This is a permanent position, based in the office in Killarney, County Kerry.
