Role overview

You will direct and coordinate the activities of matrixed individuals working on customer engagements spread over a number of projects. The person will be responsible for managing related projects in a coordinated way to obtain benefits and control. You will be responsible for coordinating with multiple internal practice leads/project managers to ensure success for customer projects/deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive all aspects of Technical Delivery management activity, including understanding technical deliverables, collaborating and coordinating across the organization.
  • Define the delivery value proposition, work plan, resource needs, timeline, and budget for global programs.
  • Possess a strong background in applications development, maintenance, upgrade, or transformation.
  • Manage resources (capital and human) to complete delivery objectives on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Manage multiple large, complex projects, programs, or small portfolios requiring high levels of functional and technical integration and change.
  • Ensure deliverables adhere to standards and follow the agreed methodology throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive delivery decisions to support organizational and customer strategic objectives.
  • Identify and obtain support and advice for management, planning, and control of delivery.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in the IT industry in engineering-led delivery within a customer-facing leadership role.
  • Extensive experience leading the delivery of technical/data-focused projects within large, highly matrixed organizations, including delivery management and overseeing multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Ability to operate with autonomy and discretion.
  • Financial industry compliance awareness and good financial acumen regarding costs and efficiencies.
  • Experience with multiple delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps.
  • Technical skills spanning Legacy, Cloud, API, Automation Testing, with specialization in at least one area.
  • Advanced ability to implement effective delivery controls and monitor project or program performance.
  • Strong capability in providing performance reports to monitor program progress.
  • Deep understanding of project dependencies and interrelations with other initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially for complex and abstract problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables.
