Data Privacy Specialist - Immediate
Immediate requirement for a Data Privacy Manager to take on a 6 month contract, with potential to join business on a permanent basis. You will join an organisation that has the unique combination of being a heavily regulated industry who are a technology first company, and work closely with their global DPO. Hybrid working model, newly renovated offices in a prime Dublin city centre location. This will suit a candidate who has intermediate/expert knowledge across Privacy and can act as an SME.
Responsibilities:- Support the Data Protection Officer in managing requests from supervisory authorities and act as a contact point for internal departments while resolving issues related to the requests.
- Maintain comprehensive records of processing activities conducted by the company including the purposes of processing activities.
- Deputise for the Data Protection Officer.
- Inform and advise the company and its employees of their obligations under privacy and data protection laws globally.
- Manage end-to-end execution of privacy risk assessments, including privacy impact assessment, transfer impact assessment, third party privacy risk assessment, among others. Act as a contact point for requests from individuals regarding the processing of their personal data and with exercising their rights.
The successful candidate will have 4 to 5 years of relevant experience and strong understanding of global data protection and privacy laws, to include EU and the UK General Data Protection Regulation. An understanding of privacy requirements in the financial services industry in the EEA, UK & US is essential.
You will have experience in managing privacy risk assessments; CIPP/E, CIPM is advantageous.
