Production Equipment Europe is a leading industrial distributor supplying over 90,000 products to customers across Europe. We are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to work within our team based in Galway.

The Sourcing Specialist will work closely with managers and cross-functional teams within the organisation to help drive cost savings and maximise business opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic sourcing of product and global procurement
  • Negotiate pricing, deals, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers
  • Identify, evaluate, and capitalise on opportunities to reduce sourcing costs, build on current product offering, and create additional value for customer base
  • Conduct regular market and spend analysis to drive cost savings and supplier improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure high quality & cost-effective solutions
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to develop business and maximise opportunities
  • Manage tender enquiries and negotiation of contracts
  • Work as part of a dynamic and experienced team to help achieve company goals
Skills & Experience
  • Qualification or relevant industry-related experience, background in supply chain or sourcing preferred
  • Proven track record of supplier evaluation, negotiation & selection
  • Strong organisational & administration skills
  • Ability to absorb technical information of products
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Good computer skills (MS Office), SAP ERP experience highly desirable
  • Flexible & pro-active attitude with an ability to think strategically
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to work to agreed time scales and deadlines
