Expiry Date:03.06.2025
Job Description:Three Steps is a social care based, trauma and attachment informed, clinically supported residential care service provider.
We provide residential services to children, young people, and adults with disabilities. We also run a number of Children's Residential Centres for children and young people in care. All our services are currently located in Dublin and Meath.
Our care teams and managers work closely with placement supervisors to provide safe, compassionate, and professionally informed care. Together, we work hard to improve the quality of care we provide every day. We put the children, young people, and adults in our care first in everything we do, and as a company, we invest heavily in our care teams to ensure they have the skills, support, and encouragement they need to achieve our shared aims.
In all our activities, we work closely with the HSE (Health Service Executive), with Tusla (the Child and Family Agency), and with the Northern Ireland Trust.
We are seeking: Qualified Social Care Workers and Healthcare Assistants
As the global pandemic has progressed, social care workers and healthcare assistants have increasingly sought working arrangements that are better suited to the needs of their families. For some, working as part of a relief panel facilitates that need as they negotiate the ever-changing schedules of their families.
If you would rather work as part of our relief panel instead of taking up a full-time position with us, and if you are able to care for vulnerable children, young people, and adults and are willing to work hard, to learn and develop as a Social Care practitioner, we would like to hear from you.
To apply, you will need the following qualifications:
To work with us as a Social Care Worker, you will need:
A minimum Level 7 degree in Social Care or in a related and relevant field (such as Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Youth and Community Work, Social Work, Social Sciences, Teaching, Nursing, Early Childhood Studies, Special Needs Assistant, Disability Studies, Childcare, Addiction Studies - not exhaustive). Social Work qualifications from Northern Ireland are also welcome.
To work with us as a Healthcare Assistant, you will need:
A minimum Level 5 degree in Healthcare Support, Social Care or in a relevant and related field (see also above).
All our care team members also need:
- The ability to relate to and care for vulnerable children, young people, and adults and to demonstrate a genuine respect for them, their parents, and families.
- To be fluent in written and spoken English and eligible to work in Ireland.
