Maintenance Manager

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager out client, we are looking for a manager coming from a hospitality background that has a good understanding of hotels. You will need to bed a strong manager that has excellent attention to detail, be very hands on and take a pro-active approach to the team and department.

  • Efficiently manage the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance team and department
  • Manage maintenance costs within budget
  • Provide strong leadership to the team by guiding the team and overseeing urgent repairs.
  • Plan and respond to scheduled and unforeseen work, ensuring the engineering team has the necessary skills to meet requirements.
  • Effectively utilise internal and external resources to handle on-site situations
  • Develop proactive maintenance strategies to enhance overall reliability of the plant, personnel, and production processes.
  • Encourage initiatives that support the motivation, training, development, and deployment of maintenance employees.
  • Drive and achieve the key business objectives and performance targets set by the company for the Maintenance Department.

The ideal candidate:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior position.
  • Have excellent organisational skills to efficiently oversee projects, processes, and the Maintenance Team.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them within the Maintenance Team.
  • Conducting site inspections and identifying areas requiring extra maintenance
  • Supervising the maintenance team and ensuring they follow safe work practices
  • Performing minor on-site repairs
  • Scheduling contractors as required
  • Responding to emergency maintenance needs
  • An approachable personality
  • Excellent team player
  • Own transport
