Job Description:

We're looking for a Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant with a keen interest in cars. Are you someone with the drive to step into a broader leadership role over time?

The Role

As the Accountant, you'll play a key role in driving the Financial Department, supporting Management decisions, and optimising business performance. Reporting directly to the Dealer Principal/Finance Director, this role offers a leadership development opportunity, not just an accounting position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and KPI reports
  • Liaise with departmental teams to improve cost controls and margin performance
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Mentor junior finance staff and participate in cross-functional initiatives

About You

  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CPA, CA)
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Proven ability to translate financial data into analytical summaries
  • Experience in business partnering or working closely with operational teams
  • Excellent communication and leadership potential
  • Ambition to grow into a senior leadership role
