Production Team Leader

Our highly regarded manufacturing client has a requirement for a Production Team Leader for a permanent role. This position is based with a great company known for its good culture and will initially be a days role, Monday to Friday. The role may evolve to include a combination of days and evenings, with a shift uplift applicable.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform the Team Leader role in support of one or more production areas.
  2. Provide leadership and direction to production teams.
  3. Continuously meet and exceed daily performance targets.
  4. Drive all production metrics to excellence and update associated visual communication charts as required.
  5. Perform regular 6S audits on all production areas and drive LEAN initiatives such as TPM and Kaizen events.
  6. Hold regular communication meetings, including shift start-up meetings with all employees.
  7. Contribute to employee appraisals on an annual basis.
  8. Drive individual employee performance daily and provide regular feedback.
  9. Adhere to all company standards, policies, and health and safety requirements.
  10. Support training and development of production operators.
  11. Collaborate with Engineering and Quality departments to identify and implement productivity improvements.
  12. Ensure product integrity by following engineering and quality procedures.
  13. Work with support departments to ensure equipment and processes operate at maximum efficiency.
  14. Provide detailed shift handover reports to the product leader daily.
  15. Develop production plans for all cells within the relevant area in cooperation with the product leader.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role within high-volume manufacturing or repair facilities is advantageous.
  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • Experience in driving processes to excellence.
  • Familiarity with LEAN techniques.
  • Certificate, Diploma, Degree in supervisory management or equivalent experience.
  • Flexibility is required, as the role is expected to evolve into a 2-cycle shift from straight day shifts.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in Ireland.
