Pharmacy Counter Assistant

Pharmacy Counter Assistant at PharmacyStore Ireland. PharmacyStore is an Irish-owned community pharmacy group with 4 stores, over 50 employees, and plans to grow. You will be a key member of the team, providing excellent customer care and support to PharmacyStore customers.
Responsibilities- Customer Service: Deal with customer queries and requests in relation to the sale of over-the-counter medicines, front of shop items and prescriptions in a polite and courteous manner.
- Assist the Duty Manager in providing a confidential, friendly, efficient, and professional healthcare service to the local community.
- Assist with over-the-counter sales and other front of counter duties.
- Provide input and assist customers with non-medical products sold within the store (e.g., cosmetics, health products).
- Accurately handle monetary transactions.
- Understand the impact of good customer service on the overall business.
- Understand required Operating Procedures within the Pharmacy and align to the procedural requirements relevant to the role.
- Maintain store standards and cleanliness as directed by the Duty Manager(s).
- Order, receive and manage stock; check deliveries against invoices, report discrepancies, and ensure invoices are signed.
- Check and complete price changes daily.
- Complete daily sheets and sign off when completed.
- Build strong working relationships with all team members to ensure seamless service to customers.
- Participate actively in training and development programmes; develop capability in required areas.
- Communicate clearly and frequently with key stakeholders; take ownership of specific initiatives as assigned.
- Integrate as a true team player and provide support where needed; be able to cover at other PharmacyStore locations as required.
- Understand the concept of upselling and contribute to increased OTC sales.
- Understand how the Pharmacy Counter Assistant role fits within PharmacyStore Group and supports the store strategy and business growth.
- Understand the financial impact of decisions and strive to drive operational efficiency.
