JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER/TECHNICIAN — BUILDING OPERATIONS & FACILITIES ENGINEER - ELECTRICAL - OFFICE SITE

REPORTS INTO: Facilities Lead Technician

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine reactive and preventative building maintenance tasks in one or more areas including electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry and fabric repairs.
  • Deliver day-to-day support to ensure the smooth running of facilities service and provide exceptional customer experience within Client sites.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the on-site facilities team to complete planned, reactive and preventative tasks.
  • Operate M&E equipment within the office (e.g., UPS, CRAC, generator, BMS, alarm system, power distribution, office air-conditioning, water protection and drainage systems) to ensure compliance with HSE and statutory requirements.
  • Supervise maintenance work by vendors to ensure safe and quality delivery; provide first-line fixes and competency in electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and kitchen power issues.
  • Conduct quality audits of furniture and equipment, log issues, and ensure actions are completed on time in line with KPI/SLA.
  • Complete daily checks in line with service delivery commitments.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors, conduct risk assessments, and follow safety protocols to ensure compliance.
  • Use internal task systems to track facilities work and close out actions according to SLAs.
  • Provide timely follow-ups to colleagues and customers via email, task systems, and in person.
  • Collaborate to solve problems and handle spontaneous situations with professionalism and a service-focused approach.
  • Recommend innovations and technologies to improve site performance and maintenance practices for the client.
  • Adhere to health and safety measures and promote best practices among colleagues, contractors and vendors.
  • Support sustainability efforts to reduce utility consumption across the site.
Working Life
  • You will work on a large office site in Dublin; English is the main business language.
  • Occasionally attend emergency call-outs to ensure business continuity.
  • May work at another site on the same campus to cover team time off.
About You
  • You have direct facilities/building/operational electrical experience.
  • You hold a technical qualification and/or trade license.
  • You have experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for managing Preventative Planned Maintenance.
  • You have electrical-biased experience.
  • You can meet tight deadlines and work efficiently as part of a team to solve problems with professionalism.
  • You have strong written and verbal English language skills.
  • You strive for excellence and share ideas for improvement.
  • You are proficient with Word and Excel and have an interest in technology.
  • You are adaptable to varying requests and projects day-to-day.
