Overview

Join to apply for the Relief Care Assistant - Residential role at Reach Ability.

The position provides cover for periods of leave of staff members. The hours available will be worked in our Residential Houses, so shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, waking nights, sleepovers, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Team Leader and Residential Team Leader in the physical and emotional well-being, personal hygiene, and care of people with intellectual disabilities as assigned by the Unit Team Leader.
  • Supporting service users and residents in living in the community, fostering choice and control, social and civic participation, personal relationships, education and personal development.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of QQI (FETAC) Level 5 in Healthcare Support - Major Award or similar, or currently undertaking (minimum Year 2) or hold a BA in Applied Social Studies or similar
  • Be currently eligible to work in Ireland
Remuneration

The successful candidate will be appointed on the Care Assistant HSE Consolidated Payscale (Sept 2008): €14.88 - €20.66 per hour DOE.
