Job Description:Join Our Catering Team at University Hospital Galway
Are you a friendly, motivated person looking for a rewarding role in a supportive environment? You will be responsible for the smooth, day-to-day running of our retail, deli-counter, and coffee shop services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily customer service operations, including sales processes, orders, and payments.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the retail unit is fully functional, clean, and presentable.
- Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Support the implementation and upkeep of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all service areas.
- Monitor compliance with food safety standards and legislative requirements.
- Provide feedback to team members, both formally and informally.
- Act as a role model and representative of the store.
- Train new and existing team members in customer service practices.
- Review product quality and participate in monthly "Innovate" programs.
- Organize, delegate, and supervise daily shift responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
- Follow instructions from the Retail Manager to support service delivery.

Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in a similar supervisory role in retail or catering
- Interest in people and customer service
- Background in hospitality or catering

- Knowledge of Food Hygiene standards, including HACCP
- Proactive and flexible attitude
- Garda Vetting is required for this role
