Primary Purpose:

The primary focus of Golf Services/Pro Shop Assistant is to provide a range of services to our members, visitors and other customers. You must be a golf enthusiast & enjoy interacting with all golfing visitors & Club Members. You will provide the highest level of customer care, anticipating customer requirements and assisting in operating the department in an efficient and professional manner.

The duties involve course marshalling, daily servicing of the driving range and maintenance/cleaning of the golf rental equipment and general duties about the clubhouse and golf course.

The key to the success of this role is flexibility and co-operation.

Key Responsibilities:

You will report to and take direction from the Director of Golf. Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not confined to:

  1. Preparing for arrival of customers on a daily basis.
  2. Course marshalling.
  3. Providing a professional and efficient service to members and guests.
  4. Maintaining a clean and tidy exterior to the Clubhouse.
  5. Maintaining, cleaning and ensuring all golf equipment and buggies are ready for use on a daily basis.
  6. Assisting with incoming golf groups.
  7. Ensuring sufficient provision of range balls are available at reception at all times.
  8. Carry out daily golf services checklist.
  9. Maintain a regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
  10. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
General Pro Shop:
  1. Serving and assisting Customers.
  2. Till operation.
  3. Assisting with Members' competitions and tournaments.
  4. Assisting with stock taking procedures.
  5. Assisting with stock orders and deliveries.
  6. Ensuring displays are maintained in an acceptable manner.
  7. General cleaning and upkeep of Pro Shop.
  8. Carrying out opening and closing procedures of Pro Shop.

You are expected to carry out your duties in a diligent and professional manner with a friendly outgoing attitude. It is important that you work together with other members of the team to ensure that we operate a high standard of professional service and provide an enjoyable environment for members, customers and employees alike.
