ICT Services is currently looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Dublin 12.
You will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team responsible for the day-to-day operations of ICT environments. The role requires demonstrating ICT technical skills and being a confident communicator with excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You will handle requests involving routing/switching, firewalls, VoIP, and IT support, exceeding our clients' expectations.
ICT Services is a leading provider of IT field services, rollout, and support services.
The 100-strong team you will join provides an all-Ireland service from nine offices and parts hubs, partnering with the largest and most innovative developers and IT manufacturers globally.
Responsibilities:
- Support the IT infrastructure, networks, and security.
- Configure and install network security devices (primarily SonicWall and Fortinet).
- Maintain and improve documentation of customer network environments.
- Provide Level 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and other IT teams for resolution.
- Implement network infrastructures.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, and security configurations.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of network changes.
Requirements:
- IT Degree or equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Experience in supporting network routing, switching, and security.
- Knowledge of logging, network access control, SonicWall or Fortinet routing and switching, VPN, and firewall configuration.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware.
- Experience in storage/backup practices, hardware, and operating systems.
- Technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and internet standards, including troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills with stakeholders at various levels, including technical and non-technical audiences, end-users, and senior management.
