Dublin, Dublin City, Ireland Ryanair Ltd. Full time

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Legal Disruptions Coordinator to join the Customer Service team of Europe's largest airline group.

This is an excellent time to join Ryanair as we look to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m guests per year within the next 10 years.

The successful candidate will support the Customer Service and Operations teams to improve the flow of information and compile evidence of day-to-day operational decision-making in the event of flight disruption. They will prepare and maintain a high volume of legal evidence relating to disruptions of all Ryanair Group airlines to improve our success rates in Court across all jurisdictions.

The successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Classify flights according to circumstances surrounding the disruption, available evidence, and CJEU/National Court interpretation given on Reg. EU/261.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Operations Control Centres in Dublin and Warsaw to ensure that evidence is prepared and organised to reflect the decision-making process and demonstrate the measures put in place to support customers in the event of flight disruptions.
  • Cooperate with external law firms and address barriers to success to maximise our success rates in court.
  • Engage with other parts of the operation including Base Captains to ensure that we have a panel of appropriate people who can attend court as required.
  • Assist with supporting Customer Service Agents and external legal teams handling claims and oversee compliance with internal policy and litigation procedures.
  • Assist with preparing and providing legal training for the Customer Service Agents, Operations, and our in-house Paralegal and Regulator teams, to improve knowledge and understanding to better defend claims in various jurisdictions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in passenger rights and relevant EU/national legislation.
  • Respond to queries from in-house and external legal teams regarding flight classification, reasons for disruption, and interpretation of Operations evidence.
  • Proactively collect all documentation deemed useful for the proper handling of cases and keep the CS legal folder up-to-date.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge and understanding, provide training to in-house and external legal teams, and other relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties to support the broader team.
Requirements
  • 1+ years' experience in an Operations, Newskies, or Flight Disruptions-related position.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and explain evidence materials and complex matters related to flight operations to in-house and external legal teams.
  • Understanding of Ops and CS Booking systems is required; knowledge of internal Ryanair tools would be an advantage.
  • Some legal background or experience on Regulation EU 261/04 and Reg. 1107/2006 would be an advantage.
  • Discounted and unlimited travel to over 250 destinations.
  • Defined Contribution Pension Scheme – Matched up to 5% or €5,000.
  • Death in Service Benefit – Up to 2 times of annual basic salary.
  • 20 Days Annual Leave – Increasing to 22 days after 12 months and 25 days after 3 years of continuous service.
  • Option for up to 5 additional unpaid leave days per year.
