Overview

Senior Traffic Design Engineer - Dublin at Jacobs. Are you a Senior Traffic Design Engineer seeking to lead innovative traffic solutions that keep cities moving?

You will design and deliver complex traffic engineering solutions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the program. Your influencing and strategic skills will be crucial to our overall successful delivery.

BusConnects is a strategic national-level intervention for Ireland that will enhance sustainable transportation and the environment by upgrading walking, cycling and bus infrastructure in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Waterford. We have been appointed by the National Transport Authority (NTA) as their Client Partner to deliver Dublin's BusConnects infrastructure. This will include providing programme management and multi-disciplinary expertise over a 10-year programme to deliver 12 schemes comprising 230 kilometres of continuous bus priority corridors and 200 kilometres of cycle paths and improved pedestrian facilities from procurement through to handover of this new infrastructure.

  • Tertiary degree qualified in a relevant discipline (or equivalent)
  • Experienced in the transport planning field with the ability to contribute to the success of a range of high profile transport projects
  • A desire to develop your technical skills and the ability to work independently in the field of Traffic Engineering
  • Expert in Traffic Engineering with the ability to contribute to the success of a range of high profile transport projects, particularly in an urban environment, active travel schemes, cycle networks, mass transit and bus infrastructure
