Job Title: Executive Chef

Salary: €65,000 + Bonus
Location: Cork

An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Executive Chef to lead a talented kitchen team in a thriving 4* hotel setting. This role calls for a hands-on leader with strong operational skills, a passion for food, and a proven ability to manage kitchen performance, team engagement, and food innovation. The ideal candidate will be strategic, standards-driven, and confident working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing kitchen team, promoting a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including service, food quality, hygiene, staffing, and supplier management

  • Take full ownership of menu design, costing, and innovation in line with seasonal trends and guest expectations

  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP, health & safety, and internal audit standards

  • Manage kitchen budgets, food GP, payroll, and inventory to achieve financial targets

  • Collaborate with senior management on strategy, training, and hotel-wide initiatives

  • Support brand visibility through food-led content and a strong presence in kitchen leadership

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive or Head Chef in a 4* hotel or similar environment

  • Strong leadership, team development, and communication skills

  • Advanced knowledge of food trends, cost control, and kitchen operations

  • Full understanding of HACCP and food safety legislation

  • Hands-on, solutions-focused approach with a high standard of personal professionalism
