Head of Finance – Building Supplies (Director Level)

My client, a leading building supplies company with a strong market presence, is seeking a Head of Finance (Director Level) to join their leadership team. This is a strategic, commercially focused role where you will play a key part in driving profitability, efficiency, and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the finance function with 1 direct and 4 indirect reports.
  • Partner with the leadership team to shape and deliver commercial strategy.
  • Drive improvements in financial performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement smart, tech-driven solutions to modernise reporting and streamline processes.
  • Provide clear insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven track record at senior finance leadership level, ideally in a successful, fast-paced business.
  • Strong commercial acumen – able to see the bigger picture and challenge the status quo.
  • Tech-savvy, with a passion for data, automation, and improving reporting tools.
  • Inspirational leader with experience managing and developing teams.
