DeltaV Engineer – Dublin and Cork, Ireland

Contract Duration: 12 Months

We are seeking experienced DeltaV Engineers to join my clients team in Dublin and Cork. This is a

key role focused on supporting control system projects in the life sciences sector. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Emerson DeltaV DCS, with a proven track record in system configuration, batch development, and site commissioning in GMP-regulated

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot Emerson DeltaV DCS systems across various phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement batch control strategies aligned with ISA-88 and ISA-95 standards.
  • Integrate DeltaV systems with process and packaging equipment, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Participate in system commissioning, startup, and site acceptance testing.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP regulations, validation protocols, and site quality standards.
  • Work both independently and as part of a project team to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in automation engineering, primarily within the life sciences sector.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV, including system architecture, module and control strategy configuration, and diagnostics.
  • Proven expertise in batch configuration and recipe development (S88/S95).
  • Demonstrated experience integrating DeltaV with process automation equipment (e.g., bioreactors, CIP/SIP, skids, packaging lines).
  • Solid understanding of GMP regulations and working in validated environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Prior site-based experience in Ireland or similar regulated markets is preferred.
