Our client provides specialised residential, respite, and day services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, ADHD, acquired brain injury, and mental health needs, including behaviours that challenge. With centres across Ireland, our client is growing and now seeking a dedicated Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team.

Our client offers a hybrid model of work. The location for this post is Longford.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children and adults with diverse needs across self-care, leisure, and productivity domains
  • Complete functional, sensory, environmental, and seating assessments and provide appropriate interventions
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, SLT, nursing, and behavioural supports
  • Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy programmes
  • Contribute to service user transitions, care planning, and safety in daily living
  • Document all assessments, plans, and progress per policy and standards
  • Supervise OT students and contribute to departmental learning and service improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy (CORU registered)
  • Experience in disability or mental health settings (post-qualification desired)
  • Knowledge of person-centred planning and risk assessment
  • Sensory integration training desirable
