We have an excellent job opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our expanding Structural Engineering team in Dublin. The team provides civil & structural design services to various clients within Building Engineering.

The successful candidate will join a team with extensive experience, from our Director to our most recently chartered Engineers. We provide structured training and excellent support, access to our international knowledge-sharing network, and procedures to support your continuing professional development and career progression within AECOM.

What you'll do?

1. Delivering structural engineering services on building projects, performing analyses and calculations as appropriate, and preparing designs
2. Preparing technical specifications
3. Supervising work by Graduate Engineers, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard
4. Directing Technicians to ensure that drawing work is completed, clearly communicating designed solutions
5. Report writing and production of technical reports and documents

The Dublin Structural Engineering team works on several notable large projects, offering an opportunity for a wide range of experience. Current projects include a Municipal Library, Governmental large-scale Residential projects, Rail Station Renovations, Tech Sector projects, Restoration and Energy Retrofit of Protected Structures, School Bundle Projects, and Healthcare.

We regularly work within a multidisciplinary team and encourage using the latest industry technologies, combined with internal Technical Quality processes, to deliver high-quality designs for our clients.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what's possible?

Requirements:

1. BSc/MSc in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent with post graduate design experience with an Engineering consultancy.
2. Building structure design experience using all the main materials on a variety of structural projects
3. Highly motivated Engineer with previous consultancy experience
4. Experience in Eurocodes essential
5. Knowledgeable in finite element and frame analysis software for steel and RC frames, flat slabs, etc. (Tekla, SCIA, etc)
