Overview

We are recruiting a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the CAMHS team serving Kilkenny and Carlow Mental Health Services. Kilkenny and Carlow offer a vibrant region with a rich lifestyle in the heart of Ireland.

Responsibilities

Provide expert clinical care and leadership within CAMHS as part of the CAMHS team in Kilkenny and Carlow.

Requirements
  • Specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Substantial experience working within CAMHS
  • Full-time, 37 hours per week
  • €233,527 – €280,513 base salary (2025 Consultant Contract scale)
  • Minimum €11,125 on-call allowance (with potential for more)
  • 30 days paid annual leave per year
  • 10 public holidays per year
  • €12,000 annual support for Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • €8,000 annual grant for research and innovation
