The role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's restaurant operations, maintaining the quality and presentation of linens, towels, robes, and other fabrics, and ensuring guest satisfaction at every touchpoint.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the Bar Restaurant Manager in managing the restaurant floor operations to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue.
- Build effective relationships with guests and handle their feedback positively and professionally.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to staff.
- Supervise servers and bartenders, providing coaching to enhance their service skills and product knowledge.
- Monitor performance and encourage improvements where necessary.
- Ensure staffing levels are appropriate based on hotel and restaurant demands. Organize and conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate pertinent information such as bookings, in-house guests, and menu changes.
- Remain calm and alert during emergency situations and busy periods, serving as a role model for staff and other hotel employees.
- Use computer systems to accurately charge customers, create forecasts and revenue reports, update rosters, check daily attendance, and handle correspondence.
- Maintain the highest standards of restaurant and bar hygiene and safety.
- Maintain good rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience within a luxury hotel or hospitality environment, particularly in a restaurant/bar setting.
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent leadership and staff management skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team to achieve high standards.
- Strong attention to detail, focusing on quality control and operational efficiency.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff, guests, and other departments.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced, luxury hotel environment.
