Job Description:

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

In this role, you'd be joining the Workplace team which is part of the broader People and Places organization. The team's mission is to build and support work environments that are welcoming, comfortable, and intuitive; supportive of collaboration, wellbeing, and productivity; and centered around the rigorous safety, security, and confidentiality we employ as a financial services company.

What you'll do

We're looking for an organized, creative, and strategic leader who has a driving need to deliver the best possible workplace experience for Stripes. This person will focus on upholding, scaling, and evolving Stripe's Workplace standards in the EMEA region. This includes: maintaining and scaling existing programs and services to support the needs of our users, leading a fantastic regional Workplace team in supporting the engagement and productivity of local Stripes, building relationships with leaders to better understand and keep the global team aligned on how Workplace can support evolving needs.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage the Workplace Experience team in region; support their professional development, nurture and amplify best practices and creative initiatives, and ensure the team has a clear understanding of what success looks like.
  2. Act as an ambassador for the global Workplace team in region; building strong relationships and regular touch points with site leads and senior leaders, developing a deep understanding of the cultural and business needs of regional sites, implementing scalable solutions, and reporting key learnings back to the team.
  3. Work closely with the team and functional leads across the company to support spaces and programs that create safe, comfortable environments and enhance productivity and collaboration.
  4. Manage vendors through regular performance and financial reviews; paying careful attention to and evolving SOWs and SLAs, and conducting RFPs when necessary.
  5. Maintain and develop team standards and service levels for existing programs (space planning, snack/catering, janitorial, event support, shipping and receiving, etc) and partner with the Workplace Programs team to design and roll out new ones.
  6. Own opex in region, partnering with Finance to develop budgets and track against committed spend.
  7. Shape team goals and priorities as a member of the Workplace Experience leadership team.
  8. Work closely with the Projects and Design team to ensure new spaces reflect established best practices, as well as evolving operational needs, lessons learned, and user feedback.
  9. Other duties as assigned, as the team grows and evolves.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  1. 10+ years of relevant experience in office/facilities management, project, and people management; preferably at a high-growth technology company.
  2. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills coupled with a strong business acumen and an orientation toward putting yourself in other people's shoes.
  3. A demonstrated talent for building trust and productive working relationships with internal and external partners.
  4. Demonstrated success building, managing, and coaching a geographically dispersed customer oriented team.
  5. A proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines and projects; be highly organized with analytical skills.
  6. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace with rapidly changing priorities.
  7. Strong problem solving skills - you find creative solutions when presented with any problem.
  8. A driving need to consider the details and deliver the best possible experience - you may have been called a perfectionist once or twice.

Preferred qualifications

  1. Working knowledge of building systems.
  2. A knack for operational design at scale.
  3. Customer service or hospitality experience.

Hybrid work at Stripe

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Pay and benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €104,000 - €156,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant's location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
