  • Are you experienced risk analyst looking for an exciting opportunity in Third Party Risk Management?
  • Can you play a key role in oversight of AIB's Third Party Risk obligations.
  • Do you work well within a team.
What is the Role:

The Third-Party Risk Analyst is a key member of the Operational Risk management team, responsible for ensuring that the organisation effectively manages and mitigates risks associated with its third-party relationships. The role focuses on providing independent review and challenge of Third-Party Management (TPM) processes, overseeing ongoing monitoring, and translating TPM data into actionable insights to proactively identify risk trends and thematic areas requiring review or remediation.

Key accountabilities
  • Review and Challenge of TPM Processes: Independently assess the design and effectiveness of TPM processes, including onboarding and ongoing due diligence activities, risk assessment methodologies, onboarding and exit processes, contract management, and the robustness of ongoing monitoring frameworks.
  • Oversight and Monitoring: As the second line of defence, oversee and monitor third-party relationships. Evaluate monitoring outputs for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to standards, ensuring that these activities capture both emerging and residual risks.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyse, and interpret data from TPM systems and processes to identify risk trends, control gaps, and potential areas for reviews.
  • Review and reporting: Lead or support targeted thematic or deep dive reviews in response to risk signals, incidents, or regulatory changes. Prepare high-quality risk papers, reports, and presentations for informal and formal governance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Policy Compliance: Engage regularly with first line TPM colleagues, supporting and constructively challenging activities. Monitor compliance with the organisation's TPM policy and associated standards.
  • Continuous Improvement and Best Practices: Stay abreast of emerging third-party risk trends, regulatory updates, and industry best practices. Provide constructive challenge to TPM activities to ensure continuous improvement.
What you will bring
  • Analytical Expertise: Ability to distil complex data into meaningful insights. Proficient in the use of data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Risk Management Acumen: Strong understanding of third-party risk management including the TPM risk management framework, risk assessment methodologies, and control environments.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling papers and presentations for senior audiences.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience collaborating across the three lines of defence and with business stakeholders at all levels.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Awareness of relevant regulatory expectations (e.g., FCA, PRA, GDPR) and best practices in third party risk.
  • Problem Solving and Judgement: Confidence to challenge constructively, escalate issues when necessary, and propose pragmatic solutions.
  • Organisation and Delivery: Strong organisational skills and the capacity to deliver to tight deadlines, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
