Our client is a leading Irish group that is a leader within their sector and are inviting a commercial newly qualified accountant to join their team as a FP&A Analyst.

This role would suit someone with a commercial background that would like to progress their career within a reknown Irish company.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in planning and reviewing budgets, focusing on market assumptions, cost environment, and performance metrics;
  • Interpreting and analysing large data sets to gather commercial insights;
  • Develop financial models to facilitate with the budgeting and strategic planning process;
  • Analyse company performance, in terms of historical data, forecasts and industry benchmarks;
  • Lead the development of strategic planning and liaising with senior management;
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, balance sheet and cash slow statements;
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and other specialists;
  • On-going process improvement and ad-hoc projects as they arise.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Qualified accounting professional or qualified by experience;
  • Minimum 3 years experience within a commercial role;
  • Must have strong experience with data;
  • Experience in the use of data visualisation (Tableau, Power BI;
  • Team player with ability to contribute both individually and as part of a team;
  • Confidence to address challenges as they arise;
  • Advanced excel with previous knowledge of financial modelling;
