Recruitment Manager at Apex Global Resources LtdWe are currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee commercial and industrial electrical projects. The successful candidate will lead teams of electricians on-site, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise electrical installations on commercial and industrial projects.
- Manage and coordinate electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors on-site.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with Safe Electric requirements and HSA standards.
- Interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and scope documents.
- Carry out quality inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Maintain strong communication with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets, addressing delays or obstacles.
- Maintain site records, safety documents, permits, and testing logs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Electrician – holding a National Craft Certificate
- Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work.
- At least 5 years' experience in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Proven experience with containment systems, 3-phase installations, switchgear, lighting, fire alarm, emergency lighting, data cabling, and power distribution.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, ensuring project deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Familiarity with permit to work systems, RAMS, and safety protocols on active commercial/industrial construction sites.
- Electrical Testing & Verification qualification preferred (ability to sign off QC numbers is advantageous).
- MSIC or other supervisory training is desirable.
