About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Mechanical Estimating Manager to join our client's growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking professional who is not only an expert in mechanical estimating but also possesses strong leadership skills to build and manage a high-performing team of Senior Estimators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical estimating processes, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in project bids.
  • Strategically build and develop a team of Senior Estimators, fostering a collaborative and high-achieving work environment.
  • Play a pivotal role in identifying the location of a new office and support the transition to a hybrid working model once established.
  • Develop and implement best practices, processes, and systems for the estimating department.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align estimating strategies with broader business goals.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to team members, driving performance and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies throughout all estimating activities.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimating Manager or similar role, with a strong mechanical bias.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to make informed decisions regarding office location and team structure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Agile leadership style with a long-term vision for team and business growth.
