Transportation Planners Role at AtkinsRéalis Dublin Office

We are currently hiring Transportation Planners for our Dublin office in Ireland. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of an ever-expanding project portfolio across major public and private clients.

Your Purpose:
  • Supporting projects including active travel, public transport, greenways, transport strategies, and large-scale development sites.
  • Sharing knowledge with colleagues to enhance project delivery.
  • Delivering schemes from feasibility through planning stages.
  • Working with public and private sector clients on project delivery.
  • Managing junior colleagues' technical delivery.
  • Collaborating directly with clients on project delivery.
  • Assisting the Project Manager in technical and financial project delivery.
Required Skills:
  • Relevant third-level qualification (Level 8 or higher).
  • Experience in transport planning in Ireland, including policy and delivery of ABTAs or similar Local Transport Plans.
  • Familiarity with Irish transport policy and guidance.
  • High-quality report writing skills and verbal communication in English.
  • Strategic transport modelling knowledge: Experience with the NTA regional modelling system is desirable.
  • Transport modelling experience: Knowledge of Linsig, Junctions 9, and/or microsimulation is desirable.
  • Client, stakeholder, and public consultation experience.
  • Able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Initiative-taking abilities and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Working towards relevant chartership status.
  • Familiarity with GIS application.
  • Familiarity with relevant design guidance, including DMURS and National Cycle Manual.
  • Able to comply with Quality Assurance Management Systems.
