On behalf of our client, a leading renewable energy firm, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Modeller to join their high-performing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated financial models to support investment decisions, acquisitions, and strategic planning across the business.

Responsibilities of the Financial Modeller role:

  • Develop and deliver robust and transparent project finance models for investment appraisal, acquisition analysis, forecasting, and debt structuring.
  • Mentor and support junior team members in best practices for financial modelling and model governance.
  • Ensure data integrity by applying stringent validation processes and incorporating robust checks and controls within all models.
  • Review and improve existing models, including those prepared externally, ensuring they align with business needs and financial modelling standards.

Requirements of the Financial Modeller role:

  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience, with a strong academic background in a numerate discipline (minimum 2:1 degree).
  • Proven expertise in project finance modelling, with advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of VBA.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience in preparing reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams, demonstrating strong analytical and business diagnostic skills.
