Senior Project Engineer Role

About the Job

Lead Group Ireland is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to oversee capital projects on a high-profile pharmaceutical site in West Dublin.

This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, capable of managing complex projects across utilities, facilities, and equipment upgrades.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple capital projects from feasibility and design through to execution and handover.
  • Oversee upgrades to utilities, facilities, and production equipment in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Develop and manage detailed project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Write and execute Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive project performance and outcomes.
  • Provide clear communication and reporting to senior management and project stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of project engineering experience within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of managing capital budgets and delivering complex projects in a live production environment.
  • Extensive experience with utilities, facilities, and equipment upgrades.
  • Strong expertise in CQV documentation and execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Degree-qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related) or a relevant scientific discipline.
