Privacy Program Manager to join the PDPO team in Dublin, Ireland, with a focus on Privacy Controls and Privacy Certifications. You will help uphold user privacy, protect personal information, ensure compliance with global privacy laws, and promote best practices. If you are passionate about privacy, data protection, and have the expertise to assess and enhance privacy practices, you are invited to contribute to maintaining high standards of data privacy and security.
Responsibilities- Audit Facilitation: Coordinate and facilitate external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
- Privacy Control Framework: Support maintaining and strengthening the privacy control framework based on applicable regulations and industry standards.
- Testing: Develop and improve testing procedures, including automation, to measure control effectiveness.
- Support Privacy Certifications: Assist in managing TikTok's efforts in achieving industry-standard privacy certifications, such as ISO 27701.
- Project Management: Manage privacy projects, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and drive project plans to execution.
- Documentation: Develop processes, policies, frameworks, and management reports to support the program.
- Education & Training: Develop internal training materials related to privacy controls and certifications and deliver training.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest privacy trends and best practices, contributing to Bytedance's ongoing privacy improvements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance privacy controls across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Law, Business, or a related field
- Proven experience in conducting audits or facilitating external audits
- Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, DSA, DMA
- 3+ years of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) or related privacy, compliance, and security experience
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining privacy controls and procedures and knowledge of controls frameworks and industry standard frameworks (ISO, NIST, etc.)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and translate legal/regulatory requirements into actionable privacy controls
- Familiarity with core privacy concepts such as data minimization, purpose limitation, data sovereignty, transparency, and data retention; experience with privacy by design principles and engineering in a privacy program
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications in privacy and data protection or project management (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, OSCP, PMP) are a plus
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a track record of ongoing accomplishment and excellence
- Experience in fast-paced, startup-like environments and adaptability to changing priorities
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including legal, procurement, information security, business continuity, privacy, and IT engineering
- Proven experience in program/project management and driving strategic initiatives
