Detailed Description

Join our team as a Tool Room Technician and enjoy a full-time role (Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week).

You'll be responsible for essential tool-room activities that ensure effective production maintenance and support various project activities. This is a great opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Machine and fabricate parts as required to optimize equipment availability.
  2. Maintain safety stock levels of working shadow board items.
  3. Repair and refurbish equipment and component parts as needed.
  4. Maintain tool room equipment and gauges.
  5. Implement tool-room housekeeping practices.
  6. Support production with off-line maintenance activities.
  7. Assist engineering projects requiring tooling.
  8. Coordinate all tool-room activities across four shifts.
  9. Maintain a database of tool-room activities, cost avoidance, material usage, etc.
  10. Manage tool-room stocking levels.
  11. Ensure all safety procedures are strictly followed.
  12. Handle chemicals safely and with awareness.

Typical Experience:

  1. Minimum of 5 years experience working in a tool room environment.
  2. Strong teamwork abilities.
  3. Commitment to achieving manufacturing excellence.
  4. Certification/Diploma/Senior Trades in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or toolmaker qualification.
