Overview

Dalata Hotel Group plc (DHG) is Ireland and the UK's largest independent four-star hotel operator, with a growing presence in Continental Europe. Established in 2007, Dalata is backed by €1.7bn in hotel assets with a portfolio of 55 hotels, primarily comprising a mix of owned and leased hotels operating through its two main brands, Clayton and Maldron hotels. Dalata is ambitious to grow its portfolio of 11,990 rooms and pipeline of 1,867 rooms further in excellent locations in select, large cities, and is targeting 21,000 rooms, either operational or in development, by 2030.

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Group Accountant to join our Financial Reporting Team in the Central Office at an exciting time of growth and development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an influential role in an ambitious and expanding organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for central management and holding companies.
  • Liaising with budget holders around reforecasting for central departments and preparing variance analysis.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Group's annual budget process.
  • Responsible for period-end routines and journal entries for a number of management and holding companies.
  • Reconciliation of management accounts to financial accounts.
  • Balance sheet integrity supported by clear monthly reconciliations.
  • Complete interim and year-end audit routines in accordance with tight deadlines acting as a point of contact for auditor queries in respective areas of responsibility.
  • Support the production of statutory accounts for individual entities.
  • Delivery of key projects within the Financial Reporting Team.
  • Other ad hoc duties on request.
Key Requirements
  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a focus on completing professional exams.
  • Must be engaging, enthusiastic, and confident with a natural focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have demonstrated an ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Commercial mindset, problem-solving ability, and able to work on their own initiative.
  • Able to demonstrate their planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan, and prioritise work.
  • Must be a strong team player who can support, challenge, and influence colleagues at all levels.
  • Naturally wants to develop and grow, and assist others around them to do the same.
