We are currently recruiting for a Head Chef for GSK OC in GSK

Location: GSK
Rate of pay: €18.50 per hour
Working pattern: 39 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, create, and update seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and vision.
  • Incorporate customer feedback, culinary trends, and local ingredients to innovate new dishes.
  • Develop and maintain standardized recipes to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen staff schedules, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the kitchen team to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on culinary techniques, safety standards, and food hygiene.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storage of supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor food costs and implement strategies to minimize waste while maintaining quality.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout all food preparation areas.
  • Conduct regular quality checks of dishes before service to ensure they meet the restaurant's standards.
  • Address customer complaints and feedback, making improvements where necessary.
  • Work closely with restaurant management to align kitchen operations with business goals.
  • Participate in planning and execution of special events, promotions, and menu rollouts.
  • Assist in the development and management of the kitchen budget.
  • Monitor financial performance, providing reports and recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality ingredients at competitive prices.
  • Implement sustainable practices within the kitchen, focusing on reducing waste, sourcing locally, and utilizing eco-friendly products.Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
