Senior Social Worker
Are you an experienced Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in children's lives? We are seeking a Senior Social Worker to join a Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Meath. This is a rewarding opportunity to work as part of a dedicated, interdisciplinary team supporting children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs arising from disability.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Social Worker:
- Provide high-quality, family-centred social work services to children with disabilities and their families.
- Undertake assessments and deliver interventions tailored to the unique needs of each child and family.
- Offer support in areas such as family coping, advocacy, safeguarding, emotional wellbeing, and service navigation.
- Act as a key member of the interdisciplinary team, participating in team planning, clinical meetings, and case coordination.
- Provide supervision and support to staff grade social workers and contribute to service development.
Requirements for the Senior Social Worker:
- A recognised qualification in Social Work and current registration with CORU.
- A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with relevant experience in disability, child and family services, or medical social work.
- Strong clinical, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A full clean driver's licence and access to own transport may be required.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a CDNT or similar interdisciplinary service.
- Experience working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., autism, intellectual disability).
- Training in relevant therapeutic approaches is an advantage.
