Am experienced Buyer is required to join a leading global manufacturing business in Wexford. The Buyer will take end to end responsibility of all procurement and purchasing activities onsite this including Direct material & Projects.

The Role

  • Implementing purchase and inventory strategies for components and execute on component ordering by following up exception messages generated by ERP (SAP)
  • Initiate, Drive and Support cost saving and lead time reduction activities
  • Responsible for ensuring all purchasing data entered into company systems is accurate and current to enable accurate reporting and KPI management and appropriate escalation.
  • Ordering and expediting as required (Purchase requisitions, transactions, order acknowledgment-handling, signalling deviation)
  • Master Data creation and maintenance (vendor requests and set up, responsible for adhering to standard processes for data management).

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree required and ideally holding a CPIM, APICs or CIPS certification
  • 5 Years Supply Chain and/or Procurement Experience
  • Strong communication, teambuilding and negotiating skills
  • SAP Experience is essential
  • Fluency in English is essential
