Primary Responsibilities

• Building and sustaining relationships with senior leadership, peers and cross-functional teams within the organization
• Cultivating a strong leadership pipeline by identifying and developing high-potential talent
• Aligning different stakeholders toward shared business outcomes
• Strong presence in external networks, with the ability to manage relationships with external stakeholders, including government bodies, regulators and industry bodies
• Building and leveraging relationships to foster trust and ensure business success
• Managing complex, large-scale operations; adept at navigating cultural and technological challenges
• Accountable for the strategic oversight and execution of new product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals, market demands and customer needs
• Driving a culture of flexibility and adaptability in response to external challenges
• Leading the organization through ambiguity and market changes without losing sight of strategic objectives
• Navigating Regulatory and Political Environments; Managing complex regulatory landscapes
• Experience of leading real-time strategic interventions managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities

This Role

• Contributes to business growth by pulling levers on performance, government relations, branding and best-in-class employee engagement
• Focuses on delivering value-added services, driving innovation and ensuring operational excellence in alignment with the organization's global strategy
• Represents Optum externally, focusing on attraction, retention and development of talent; strengthens Optum as a leading health services and innovation company
• Drives collaboration with functional enablers thus creating a distinctive value for the enterprise

Required Qualifications

• Financial and Operational acumen
• P&L management in a large, complex matrixed environment
• Strategic Planning; ability to develop and execute long-term strategies that drive growth, scalability and transformation
• Leadership in complex matrix organizations; global and local balance as well as cross functional leadership
• Stakeholder (internal and external) and relationship management
