What Would You Do As Our Senior Software EngineerAs our Senior Software Engineer, you would be part of a growing software development team that is spread across Ireland and the UK. Working in an Agile environment, you would work closely with other teams and stakeholders, such as Engineering, Support and Product to fully understand requirements, negotiate well-defined deliverables, and get them delivered. You will be developing software on multiple platforms including Java and Node.
You would also be responsible for:
- Managing and coordinating the team, organizing work, and ensuring effective collaboration.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, efficient, and testable software for the Wi-Fi industry.
- Identifying, resolving, and tracking technical issues while analysing and mitigating project risks.
- Planning, prioritizing, managing sprints, tracking team velocity, delegating tasks, and reporting progress to stakeholders.
- Leading critical projects, mentoring team members, ensuring software quality, supporting production, and evaluating performance.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Strong leadership skills with experience in building and leading software engineering teams.
- Extensive technical knowledge of Web Technologies, including Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3, and experience with Angular, React, and Single Page Applications.
- Proficiency in Java, Node.js, REST/SOA API development, and security mechanisms for web and web services.
- Strong understanding of Design Patterns, Object-Oriented Design, MVC, Entity Framework, and JEE technologies like JMX, RMI, JPA, and JTA.
- Strong experience in software engineering, including unit testing and secure development practices.
