Technical Engineer – Ballina based

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Test Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality testing solutions across integrated systems involving SAP S/4HANA, SAP MII, and manufacturing hardware. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, working closely with the Technical Manager and wider testing team to implement test cases, validate system interfaces, and ensure data integrity across software and hardware platforms.

• Execute test cases across unit, integration, and end-to-end scenarios tailored to SAP and manufacturing environments.
• Support the setup and maintenance of test environments that reflect production configurations.
• Perform hands-on testing of software-hardware interfaces, including sensor and PLC signal validation.
• Use tools like Selenium, UFT, and Postman to automate and validate UI and API interactions.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks.
• Validate data flows and business logic across SAP S/4HANA, SAP MII, and third-party systems.
• Conduct scenario-based testing to simulate full production lifecycles (e.g., sales order to manufacturing execution).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with testing standards and project timelines.
• Log and track issues using workflow tools such as JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.

• Third-level qualification or equivalent experience in software testing, automation, or systems engineering.
• ISTQB Foundation

• Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience with microservices and data integrity testing.
• Knowledge of testing standards and best practices in manufacturing or ERP environments.

• 2–5 years of experience in technical testing roles, ideally within integrated software-hardware environments.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and SAP MII is a strong advantage.
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT) and API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
• Understanding of manufacturing systems and hardware interactions (e.g., PLCs, sensors).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
