I headhunt niche talent in the HVACR and M&E industries

I'm representing a market-leading design and installation business, renowned for installing and commissioning HVAC equipment all over Ireland and the UK. They are looking for a degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer or Building Services Engineer to assist with the design of mechanical building services systems.

This position is suitable for graduate engineers, full training on air source heat pumps and commercial / residential heating systems can be given

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for heat pump applications, including compressors, heat exchangers, fans, pumps, and refrigeration circuits
  • Conduct detailed design calculations, simulations, and analysis to optimize system performance, efficiency, and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of mechanical components with electrical, control, and refrigeration systems
  • Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using industry-standard software
  • Perform tolerance analysis and provide design for manufacturing recommendations to ensure cost-effective production
  • Conduct testing and validation of mechanical designs, analyze test results, and implement necessary design improvements
  • Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulations related to heat pump systems and mechanical design

Package:

  • Salary starting at €32,000 to increase following successful 6-month probation
  • Monday to Friday
  • 9am - 5pm
  • 21 days holiday
  • Private health insurance

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Building Services, Renewable Energy or similar
  • Experience in building services, HVAC or renewables would be an advantage i.e project work, dissertation or employment
  • A genuine interest in building services and renewable energy
