We are currently seeking to recruit an Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Athlone on a Power Station. You will be responsible for a €5m project, 80-90 staff and manage sub-contractors on the project also.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Management of the day-to-day site operations.
  • Managing the program, ensuring works are completed on time by coordinating site activities in a progressive manner.
  • Ensuring all plant materials onsite are as per agreed specifications.
  • Managing Quality Control set against approved benchmarks.
  • Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress compared to schedule and manpower levels and raising damage notices as required.
  • Carry out sub-contractor meetings; active participation in look ahead meetings is essential.
  • Liaising with health and safety to ensure works are being completed in the correct and safe manner and ensuring works are carried out in accordance with the approved MSRA/ RAMS.
  • Staying abreast with housekeeping and ensuring all operatives are completing same, management of material storage, actively participating in issuing the daily SPA's and permits, participate in the TBT's and Whiteboard meetings ensuring operatives are aware of ongoing and upcoming works.
  • Liaising with our client and other departmental managers across the project to ensure timely delivery and effective handover as per the schedules.
  • Ensure that all variations and delays are notified to the relevant line manager.
  • Report to your direct line Contracts Manager on all responsibilities and activities.
Requirements / Skills:
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Trade qualified or construction related qualification.
  • 2+ years' experience on a large-scale project as an Electrical Project Manager, or other supervisory role.
  • Strong organisation and management skills.
  • Ability to manage time, drive productivity and meet deadlines.
  • Datacentre experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks.
  • Interpersonal skills - and be willing to work on one's own initiative and as part of a wider site team.
