Job Title: Trainee Accountant - Investment Back Office

Zurich Life Assurance Plc is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join the Unit Pricing team within the Investment Back Office of the Finance Function. The team's main responsibility is to ensure accurate daily valuation of Zurich's unit-linked funds and proper management of policyholder cash flows.

This role may be offered on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on the candidate's availability. We are flexible and open to discussing your needs during the interview process.

The position is classified as a "Controlled Function (CF)" under the Central Bank Reform Act, 2010. Appointment is conditional upon meeting the Central Bank Fitness and Probity Standards and possessing relevant qualifications from an MCC perspective.

Your Role

You will work within the Unit Pricing team to ensure timely delivery of daily and monthly unit pricing tasks, assist with projects such as fund launches and closures, and gain exposure to other teams including Investment Accounts, Settlements, Investment Compliance, and Self-Directed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing tasks within Unit Pricing efficiently and within risk controls
  • Processing policyholder cash flows
  • Verifying and reviewing instrument prices daily
  • Pricing of unit-linked funds and validating performance
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects and process improvements
  • Collaborating with Finance, Fund Administration, Actuarial, and Group Reporting teams
Your Skills and Experience

Candidates should have:

  • A third-level qualification in a financial or mathematical field (e.g., Accountancy, Finance, Business, Mathematics)
  • Part-qualified accountant or willingness to pursue ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Financial services experience is advantageous

Additional Information
