Field Service Engineer – Medical Devices

Location: Ireland (Southern)

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide technical support and after-sales service for veterinary imaging equipment, including ultrasound, X-ray, and endoscopy systems. You'll play a key role in ensuring seamless service delivery, supporting customers both remotely and onsite, while maintaining high-quality standards and promoting continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, customer service skills, and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of ultrasound, X-ray, endoscopy, and medical imaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT and network issues related to imaging systems.
  • Carry out onsite service visits to customer premises, ensuring timely and professional support.
  • Complete all necessary service documentation, updating internal systems to support business processes.
  • Manage service stock accurately and efficiently.
  • Support the development of the service business in your territory.
  • Ensure adherence to service processes, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Represent and promote company values to all customers and partners.
  • Occasional overnight stays may be required.
About You
  • Previous experience in a field service or technical support environment.
  • Experience with X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, or medical device equipment (desirable but not essential).
  • Good understanding of IT systems and networking.
  • Strong communicator with excellent customer-facing skills.
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Positive "can-do" attitude, with a mindset for continuous improvement.
