Medforce has partnered with a resourceful, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking Children's Disability Service in Tullamore to recruit a Senior Speech and Language Therapist on a part-time basis.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about working with school-aged children who have complex needs and their families. The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will work with children presenting a range of communication difficulties, including speech, language, social communication, and feeding/swallowing disorders.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other specialists, working collaboratively to provide comprehensive care and support to children and their families.

Working with children with complex needs can be challenging yet deeply rewarding. Support networks are in place to enable you to be the best therapist you can be and to make a real difference to children and their families.

This is a part-time role of 17.5 hours per week, spread across Monday to Friday, with excellent benefits including free onsite parking, an incremental HSE pay scale, generous annual leave entitlement, and CPD opportunities. Manageable, sustainable caseloads are a priority.

Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc in Speech and Language Therapy or its equivalent.
  • CORU Registration is essential.
  • 3+ years post-graduate experience for the Senior post.
  • Full Driver's License with access to own transport.
  • Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder and children with intellectual disabilities (desirable).
  • An undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in dysphagia and at least 6 months experience working in this area.
