We are looking for a Lab Test Technician to join our Medical Device Client's (GMP accredited manufacturer) Research and Development team and support new product development testing & Design Verification Testing (product-injecting medical device) and day to day lab operations.

Responsibilities

Daily Responsibilities

  1. Product testing to support program milestones.
  2. Training in appropriate test procedures and protocols as well as completion of on site compliance requirements through learning management system (C2C).
  3. Design Verification Testing, measuring, inspecting, or analyzing the product or its components to verify they are up to standards.
  4. Using the laboratory with adherence to good laboratory practices (GLP) for product testing and good documentation practices (GDP) through planning, performing, monitoring, recording and reporting on product testing.
  5. Providing support in testing of root cause investigations on malfunctioning product.
  6. Ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with the required regulatory standards, conforms to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  7. Maintaining the laboratory and equipment to good safe working order and ensure readiness of the laboratory for internal/customer/regulatory inspections within the laboratory.
  8. Working as part of a dynamic team to collaboratively reach project targets and milestones.
  9. Maintaining appropriate recording and reporting systems on all engineering related matters (calibrations etc).
  10. Stock management, allocation and removal of product & waste.
  11. Shipment of materials as required.
  12. Proactively identify and implement laboratory improvements. For example, suggesting improvements to test methods, flow of material through the laboratory or any process improvement pertinent to laboratory operations.
Qualifications

Requirements

  1. The successful candidate will have a third level Engineer/Technical/Science qualification.
  2. You must have a clear understanding of R&D testing and have experience in a laboratory environment.
  3. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with mechanical testing equipment and tools.
  4. Ability to work autonomously and meet project deadlines with diligence.
  5. Good communications and time management skills.
